Neil began his career in the investment industry with Pemberton Securities in 1985 and has successfully and steadily grown his own practice to the point where he is now entrusted with millions of both institutional and private clients' assets. Through years of study and practice Neil has established an institutional calibre investment process that employs a disciplined asset allocation model previously only available to large institutional investors.

Focusing upon every aspect of his clients wealth management needs, from portfolio construction and management to estate planning and family wealth or business transitioning, Neil’s advice is based upon a strategic blend of some of the top economic and finance minds in the country. Neil has assembled a team of highly qualified professionals, each providing complimentary areas of expertise. This has allowed him to successfully build his private client practice, concentrating on the often diverse needs of some of the most affluent Canadians and their families.

Neil has been a regular financial columnist and has spoken at many investment seminars and forums. While spending the majority of his time in Vancouver, Neil also travels outside the city to work with institutional, individual and family clients residing elsewhere in Canada.

A strong believer in supporting the community, Neil is active with charitable organizations. Neil is also involved in politics at an executive level. Neil and his wife Tricia and step-son Mitchell enjoy an active lifestyle that includes hockey, skiing, swimming and running. The son of Scottish parents, Dr. John and Margaret McIver, Neil grew up and presently resides in West Vancouver.
